	Cut Abuse - Salons Against Violence State Senator Liz Figueroa (District 10 - Fremont) visited several salons on Friday, May 20 to help promote "Cut Abuse - Salons Against Violence," a program of Leadership Fremont and Shelters Against Violent Environments (SAVE). Sen. Figueroa stopped by Skin Fitness Day Spa & Salon Fremont and met the staff to discuss implementation and training procedures.
	Mother's Day Essay Contest 2005 Skin Fitness Day Spa and Salon held its first Mother's Day Essay Contest in 2005 where contestants wrote a one page essay describing why there mom was the best. The winning essay received a complimentary spa day for his/her mom as a surprise!! We received a tremendous amount of entries which made the choice hard. The winning entries "Mom" enjoyed every minute of it and made it the whole event a great success!! We look forward to next year!
